Sahali bares policies on first day in office

By Nash Tahang

Governor Nurbert M. Sahali, fresh from the peoples’ mandate as the new elected governor of Tawi-Tawi has initially bared governance policies on Tuesday before the throng of the provincial government employees after a flag raising ceremony at the provincial capitol building.

Enduring the morning glimmer of the sun on stage, Sahali said that his assumption to office as new governor does not manifest a beginning but a continuation of the programs undertaken by his governor-father, Hadji Sadikul A. Sahali, whom he succeeded.

However, he said that his administration will not only continue his father’s dream for the province but as well attain what Tawi-Tawi needs to catapult its further development and its peoples’ upliftment in living standard in the future.

He asked the full cooperation and support of all the employees and elected officials of the provincial government in order to achieve the goals and objectives of his administration.

For their parts, Vice Governor Mickail Ahaja and all the board members have pledged their full support to the governor’s aspirations saying that unity in the attainment of the perspective for the province and performance of the tasks for the success of the present administration in achieving its vision and mission should come as priority.

This pledge of support and cooperation has trussed the solidarity of the provincial elected officials and employees right in the first day of assumption to office by the new set of officials
